Intro To Construction

Constructing sewing projects can be daunting. But with our Intro To Construction we can make it a little easier. The course has been designed to explain and demonstrate the basics of making a project. We will be learning about measurements, fabrics, how to read a pattern instruction, glossary of terms commonly used and hands on practice with a beginner sewing project. Don’t worry about supplies and tools, they will be included in the class. Please have working knowledge of a sewing machine, as this course will not be going over how to use a sewing machine.

How to use a serger

It cuts, it sews, it finishes, and does knits! The serger another machine that people have been wanting to take their projects to the next level. But how do you operate such a machine? Well now you have a chance to get to learn in this small class room. Here you will learn to thread the machine, work with a variety of fabrics, and adjusting the machine to get to the right settings to do what you need.

Zippers for Beginners

The zipper, you use them and want them. But how do you install them? Even some of the most experienced sewer the zipper can be a challenge. In this class you will learn about selecting zippers, shortening techniques, using the zipper foot, and application techniques. The class will conclude with two practical exercises (Centered Zipper and Exposed Zipper)

This 3 hour class is a great for project based class for beginners.

Intro to Quilting

This Intro to Quilting class is 4 hour class will guide you through the 5 steps of making a quilt. From the understanding all the necessities for prepping fabrics through the binding of the quilted sandwich.

This class will create a sampler quilt using 5 1/5 x 5 1/2 inch blocks.

Supplies required (must bring to class with you): rotary cutter, 1/4 yard of 3 different cotton fabrics.
