All classes unless stated include; sewing machine, thread, scissors, seam rippers, measuring tapes, rulers, irons, chalk, sewing needles and class specific presser feet.
Minimum age for class participation is 16, unless accompanied by parent.

Class curriculum is designed for Sips N Sews members, non-member participants are subject to studio use fees and supply fees (contact Sips N Sews for more information regarding non-member fees.)

If class enrollment does not meet our minimum, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the class, you will be contacted via email with any changes. Full refunds will be given for classes cancelled by Sips N Sews.

Refunds for active classes are valid only when request is 72 hours or more prior to scheduled class time, refunds will have processing fee of 5% deducted from balance.

No make up or rescheduling of classes for participants that are late or miss a session.

Students who attend this class are expected to be able to use a multi functional sewing machine. Students unable to fulfill this will be asked to reschedule till they take the introduction to sewing bootcamp, in respect to other students to keep the class going.

Intro to Quilting

This Intro to Quilting class is 4 hour class will guide you through the 5 steps of making a quilt. From the understanding all the necessities for prepping fabrics through the binding of the quilted sandwich.

This class will create a sampler quilt using 5 1/5 x 5 1/2 inch blocks.

***Basic sewing machine techniques are required as using a sewing machine may be included in the curriculum of either or both sessions.**

Supplies required (must bring to class with you): rotary cutter, 1/4 yard of 3 different cotton fabrics.

$7.00 materials fee required for batting and backing

Basic Pencil Skirt

Simple and always fashionable, in this class you will learn to make a basic pencil skirt. Your skirt will have a slit in the back, a zipper, and front and back darts.

Supplies:
2 yards Woven or cotton fabric, 8″ standard zipper

REQUIRED: Basic sewing machine operating skill and experience required. Intro to Sewing Bootcamp is suggested for all beginner sewists.

Pillowcase Palooza!!

is hosting a Community sewing EVENT on

Saturday, May 26th, 2018

12:00 PM- 4:00 PM

(between Larkin & Polk)

We will be making pillowcases for boys and girls in the City of San Francisco’s Foster Care Program. Our goal is 150 pillowcases. Please join us and make a beautiful young one smile with a special place to lay their head at night. These pillowcases will be donated to San Francisco’s Foster Care program.There are over 1,000 foster care children in our city limits.They have lived through so much at such a young age. We have the ability to brighten just one moment with a specially made for them item

Summer Program Young Sewist

You can learn to sew at any age, and we have just the thing for young sewist to get started. This summer we are offering a four day program for young sewist to get those sewing skills started. In this program for ages 8 and up, students will learns the basics of sewing such as machine operation to the basics of construction.

Students will guided over this four day course by our experienced instructor on operating and using the sewing machine safely. From there they will work on projects that will give them knowledge and skills to construct future projects. The summer program is 350$ all machines and tools will be provided. There is a 50$ material fee that covers all four days.

Two sessions with limited space are available:

July 23-July 26 (9AM-1PM)

August 13-August 16 (9AM-1PM)
