We will be making pillowcases for boys and girls in the City of San Francisco’s Foster Care Program. Our goal is 150 pillowcases. Please join us and make a beautiful young one smile with a special place to lay their head at night. These pillowcases will be donated to San Francisco’s Foster Care program.There are over 1,000 foster care children in our city limits.They have lived through so much at such a young age. We have the ability to brighten just one moment with a specially made for them item

Summer Program Young Sewist

You can learn to sew at any age, and we have just the thing for young sewist to get started. This summer we are offering a four day program for young sewist to get those sewing skills started. In this program for ages 8 and up, students will learns the basics of sewing such as machine operation to the basics of construction.

Students will guided over this four day course by our experienced instructor on operating and using the sewing machine safely. From there they will work on projects that will give them knowledge and skills to construct future projects. The summer program is 350$ all machines and tools will be provided. There is a 50$ material fee that covers all four days.

Moulage-The Art Of French Pattern Making

Bring your pattern and sewing skills to the next level with Moulage. Moulage is a French Pattern Drafting technique, to create a more refined and tailored fit. In this two day workshop students will have the opportunity to learn from our  guest instructor Lynda Maynard professional instructor and writer of The Dressmaker’s Handbook of Couture Sewing. 

Moulage is a valuable technique for any sewer looking to make a refined and well fitting garment. Students who take this class can use the moulage for a multitude of things such as drafting  patterns or as a tool to work with commercial patterns.
